Congratulations to Lance Bailey, the district’s January 2018 Employee of the Month. Lance is a paraprofessional and has been with the district for seven years.
He is a steady influence on students, staff, and families. As a paraprofessional working with students with special needs and a sports coach, he works diligently with humility and grace, always keeping the students’ best interest in mind.
“Lance Bailey is a kind, hardworking, dedicated staff member, who goes above and beyond within and outside of his position at Fridley High School,” said Patty Hand, Principal at Fridley High School. "He is respected by students and his co-workers and is a deeply valued member of the community.”
After a full day of Level 3 Special Education work, he then coaches one of three of his sports teams all three seasons; 8th grade football, wrestling – where he is the assistant coach, and 9th grade baseball.
“We greatly appreciate all the time and effort that Lance contributes to make our Fridley Public Schools team even better,” said Activities Director Dan Roff.
Lance has a vast background in broadcast and digital media. He helps many of our teams create professional quality highlight videos of team celebrations and banquets. For many years, he has served as director of the live commencement broadcast, documenting this crowning achievment for our high school seniors and their families.
Lance also supported the Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony, including production of the event’s first honoree recognition videos in 2015.
Thanks for all that you do, Lance and keep up the great work!
