FHS, ALC students attend American Indian Youth Legislative Summit in Washington DC
Posted 02/12/2019 12:00PM

Congratulations to Fridley High School (FHS) and Fridley Moore Lake Area Learning Center (ALC) students Savanna Bordeaux (ALC), Lita Kelsey (FHS), Karlista Knighten (ALC), and Ayrton Rosales (FHS) who were selected to take part in the National Congress of American Indian - Youth Legislative Summit in Washington DC.

Our ALC and FHS students were four of only 12 from the Twin Cities area selected to attend this expense-paid trip from February 10-15 through MIGIZI, a nonprofit American Indian collaborative. Students will have the opportunity to hear from tribal leaders across the country, meet and collaborate with students from around the nation, visit with elected officials, and learn more about the political system and our nation’s capital.

Students were accepted into the program through an application process and referral. Congratulations to our students and we are excited for you to represent our district in Washington DC!
