School Board Vacancy

Fridley School District 14 is accepting applications to serve on the School Board.  This opening is to fill a seat vacated by Kim Sampson, for a term from January 2019 through December 31, 2019. The candidate must be at least 21 years of age; an eligible voter; reside in the Fridley School District for at least 30 days prior to appointment; and not convicted as a sex offender who is required to register pursuant to Minn. Stat. 243.166. The candidate will be eligible to run for a 4-year term in the November 5, 2019 election.

Fridley Public Schools is required to request a criminal history background check from the Superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on all individuals who are offered employment in a school and on all individuals, except enrolled student volunteers, who are offered the opportunity to provide athletic coaching services or other extracurricular services to a school, regardless of whether any compensation is paid.
