Employee of the Year

2017-2018 Employee of the Year

Fridley Public Schools is proud to announce its 2017-2018 Employee of the Year. The District Employee of the Year is selected from a talented group of non-licensed staff comprising of the school year's Employee of the Month winners. These outstanding staff members are nominated by their peers and/or supervisors based on how well they exemplify the International Baccalaureate (IB) Learner Profile characteristics of being: Open-minded, Risk-taker, Inquirer, Knowledgeable, Thinker, Communicator, Principled, Caring, Balanced and Reflective.

Congratulations to Lori Andler, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and School Board, who was honored with the 2017-2018 Employee of the Year award during the district's Opening Workshop held on August 27, 2018.

Lori Andler is the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and School Board of Fridley Public Schools, a role she has held since May 2015.  She is the unsung hero of a multitude of events and activities; a person whose work and professionalism serves as the catalyst for the many teams that comprise the district’s administration.  As the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, she is relied on heavily by many in administration because they know she will get the job done, and do it well.

Lori spends countless hours – in addition to a normal work day - working for the Fridley Schools Foundation in an effort to increase support for students and staff.  She may be quiet during the many events she assists with, but is a true Fridley Tiger who, with GRIT, passion and calm leadership, guides the behind-the-scenes needs.  You can always count on her to know who needs to do what per which meeting, and keep you on your timeline with a smile.

Beyond that, Lori is one of the most supportive and good-hearted people we could have the pleasure of working with.  She continually goes the extra mile to ensure the success of the district’s goals and needs.

Ms. Andler has raised the standard of excellence for the district and its school communities.  She is the go-to for everyone who has a question, and the gatekeeper for our fearless leader.  She is the model for which all district employees look to as an example of poise no matter how challenging a project might be.

Thank you, Lori Andler, for all you do for the students and staff of Fridley Public Schools.  You are a true model of Tiger spirit and we appreciate you!
