FHS senior earns full-tuition scholarships, grants to Carleton College
Fridley High School senior Nadia Hawkins was thrilled to receive her acceptance notification to Carleton College, one of the most prestigious liberal arts colleges in the nation. Although, the letter that followed a few days later far exceeded her expectations - Nadia received more than $70,000 of grant and scholarship funds from the college. "I felt so relieved," said Nadia. "After my initial visit there, I absolutely loved it and it became my number one choice, but I knew it was going to be expensive. I just wasn't expecting such a big number!" Click to read more...

FHS senior testifies at U.S. House Appropriations Subcommitee, advocates for maternal and neonatal tetanus funding

On behalf of Kiwanis International, Key Club International President and Fridley High School senior Emily Rice appeared before the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations on March 12. Fridley Key Club students earns awards, Distinguished Diamond Level distinction at annual District Convention
For the 17th year in a row, Fridley High School (FHS) Key Club earned the Distinguished Diamond Level Club distinction at the Minnesota-Dakota's District Convention on March 8-10, 2019 in Willmar, Minn. This notable distinction is given to clubs that have completed 50 service projects, served over 4,000 hours in community service and raised over $10,000 in fundraising efforts in a given year. Cupcake Concert

The Fridley High School Choir Department hosted its 4th annual Cupcake Concert on March 7, 2019. The unique concert is "flipped," meaning the audience gets to sit on stage as the students perform!
