Math and Reading Corp

Become a Minnesota Math or Reading Corps tutor at Stevenson Elementary, Hayes Elementary or Fridley Middle School.

During your 11-month AmeriCorps service, you’ll receive extensive training, support and general professional development opportunities. In addition, you’ll receive a living stipend of about $484 biweekly (full-time tutor) or about $242 biweekly (part-time tutor), an education award of $5,645 (full-time tutor) or $2,882 (part-time tutor) and other benefits if eligible.

  • 1 full-time position at Hayes Elementary
  • 2 full-time position at Stevenson Elementary
  • 1 part-time positions at Early Childhood/Preschool
  • 2 full-time positions at Early Childhood/Preschool

Increased Federal Stafford Loan Forgiveness for Certain Elementary & Secondary School Teachers - Fridley Middle School, Fridley High School and Fridley Area Learning Center qualify as Low-Income Schools for purposes of this loan forgiveness.

 

Criminal History Background Check
Fridley Public Schools is required to request a criminal history background check from the Superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on all individuals who are offered employment in a school and on all individuals, except enrolled student volunteers, who are offered the opportunity to provide athletic coaching services or other extracurricular services to a school, regardless of whether any compensation is paid.
