These two days are planning days for schools across the state of Minnesota to prepare for continued Distance Learning.
Principal's Message
Hello Stevenson Families,
I hope you and your family are staying healthy and doing well during this time. If there is anything we can do to support you or your family, please call our school office and leave a message or let your child’s teacher know.
Distant Learning: We have loaned out over 200 Chromebooks in the past month and made available paper work packets to families where the distant learning is not working. Kindergartners, first and second graders are provided with an hour to an hour and a half work per day. For our third and fourth graders we are providing an hour and a half to two hours. Feel free to call my office if there is anything we can do to support you in any way during the last 6 weeks of school.
Picking up Student Clothes and Materials: Teachers will be bagging up student materials during the month of May and we will have a curbside pickup in June. At that time, we will collect library books, and Chromebooks that have been loaned out. I will let you know the specific day when we are given it from the District office.
Library Books- We have over 900 library books checked out. Please ask you kids to gather these up and keep track of these until we collect in June.
Teacher Appreciation Week: I am so proud of the teachers we have here at Stevenson. In my experience, there are countless examples of how they have gone above and beyond to support their scholars.
The Show Must Go On: For the last 13 years we have wrapped up our school year by showcasing some of our students in a talent show. This year’s show will be a little different in that we are giving parents the option to join their child in a performance. The acts will come from your homes and the show will be pre-recorded. In previous years, students have sung, danced, played an instrument, told jokes or performed a magic trick. There are more details below in this newsletter.
Survey: Below is a link to a short five question survey. It will only take a moment to fill out and provide us some feedback of how distance learning is going for you and your child.

Please upload a video clip less than 2 minutes long to showcase your singing, dancing, jokes, magic, or whatever your special talent may be! Talent Show Audition videos must be submitted by Friday, May 22nd. Audition videos will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the selected talent will be broadcast on Youtube and live-streamed the first week in June. Contact Miss Mac-O with any questions.
